MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company announces new freight rates from all Far East ports (including but not limited to ports in Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia) to Northern European and Mediterranean (including West Med, East Med, Adriatic, and North Africa) and Black Sea ports, from 01 March 2026 up to and including 14 March 2026, unless extended.
Rates are base port to base port.
Out-ports are subject to standard TAO/TAD.
Rates include the Base Rate (ocean freight) and the following surcharges:
- GFS (Global Fuel Surcharge): USD 54/TEU (VATOS), valid for March 2026
- ECA (Emission Control Area):
- USD 15/TEU (VATOS) for MED and NEUR (Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, UK, Netherlands, France)
- USD 52/TEU (VATOS) for other Nordic and Baltic countries
Rates are subject to the following additional surcharges:
- CLS (Carbon Limitation Surcharge): USD 20/TEU (VATOS)
- CRS (Carbon Review Surcharge):
- NEUR: USD 91/TEU (VATOS)
- MED: USD 115/TEU (VATOS)
FAK rates exclude all IMO-category cargo and high-value commodities.
Terminal Handling Charges and any other applicable charges may apply.
