Regional Container Lines (RCL) has officially transferred its slot allocation from CNC Line’s Japan-Philippines (JP8) service to the carrier’s China-Philippines (CP2) service. According to industry data from Alphaliner, RCL will continue to market this offering to its customers as the RCP2 service.

RCL’s participation in the service remains heavily focused on the Shenzhen-Philippines leg of the journey. For shippers utilizing this route, the main operational change resulting from the shift is the direct replacement of Batangas with Cagayan de Oro in the service’s coverage area.
Under the revised setup, the RCL-marketed RCP2 service now features the following rotation:
- Shenzhen (Shekou)
- Davao
- Cagayan de Oro
- Shenzhen (return)
This targeted adjustment refines RCL’s overall coverage in the Philippines while seamlessly maintaining its strategic partnership with CNC Line on the busy intra-Asia route.
