This season’s first cruise ship “Vasco Da Gama” with 416 crew members and 590 passengers on board is docked at Mormugao Port, Goa. The cruise ship will travel to cochin port via Mumbai after arriving from Portugal. A domestic cruise liner “Empress” is also docked at the port. Express can house nearly 1300 passengers.

Officials from the Mormugao Port Authority (MPA) expressed hope and confidence about economical boost to local tourism and hospitality sectors in the current season. As per officials, around 44 domestic and foreign cruises were scheduled to be docked at Mormugao Port this season.
