AD Ports Group, BUA Group, and MAIR Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore joint ventures in food processing and integrated logistics. The partnership aims to establish world class agro food facilities in Abu Dhabi and select international markets.

Focus on Sugar, Oils, and Grains The collaboration will primarily target the development of:
- Sugar refining and edible oil production facilities.
- Agri-bulk handling for grains, pulses, animal feed, and other commodities.
Strategic Hubs: Khalifa Port and Beyond Leveraging Khalifa Port’s infrastructure and AD Ports’ global network, the initiative seeks to create a leading regional food hub. The partners are also exploring opportunities in Africa and Latin America to strengthen supply chains between these regions and the UAE.
This move aligns directly with the UAE National Food Security Strategy 2051, driving industrial growth and enhancing the nation’s role in global agri-food trade. It builds on AD Ports’ existing agri-bulk projects in Pakistan and Kazakhstan.
Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi (AD Ports Group): “By combining our logistics capabilities with BUA’s industrial expertise and MAIR’s focus on food, we aim to strength supply chains… and boost trade between Africa and the UAE.”
Abdul Samad Rabiu (BUA Group): “This partnership marks a key step in BUA’s global expansion. Together, we aim to build a resilient food processing ecosystem.”
Nehayan Hamad Alameri (MAIR Group): “We are exploring sugar refining, edible oils, and broader food processing to create a sustainable and resilient food ecosystem.”
