The tanker market supply saw an interesting slowdown in ordering activity in 2025. Over the first 11 months, there were 231 orders of crude and product tankers over 25k dwt, compared to 513 over the same period. According to Gibson Shipbrokers.
But the second half of the year saw an increase in clean and crude tankers through the Red Sea. But these volumes are low compared to 2023 levels.
