The story that began last year, 2024, with 400 million dollar bicentennial pier has changed the Palau Terminal in Peru.

DP World has achieved a historic milestone at its port of Callao terminal, becoming the first terminal on South America’s West Coast to handle more than 2 million TEUs in a single year.
This not only makes Callao one of the most active and competitive container ports on South America’s west coast but also one of the greatest stories.
As of November 2025, the Port of Callao handled 55% of Peru’s total agricultural exports, with more than 35% moving through its DP World terminal.
Carlos Merino, CEO of DP World in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, has expressed happiness and stated that such development reflects how strategic investment in modern Port infrastructure can help a country’s trade capacity and also strengthen its position within the global supply chain
According to the leading Peruvian economic research and advisory firm Apoyo Consultoría, DP World’s terminal has contributed more than $316 million to Peru’s GDP and also brought an economic activity across Peru of $23 billion in 2024 alone.
