MTN, a pioneer in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) technology, has finalized a major agreement to become an authorized reseller of Amazon Leo (Amazon’s satellite internet service).
This deal opens the door for high speed Amazon Leo connectivity across the maritime world.
MTN will initially deploy the service to key sectors including: Commercial shipping,Yachting,Offshore energy,Cruise & Ferry lines.
The shift from traditional Geostationary (GEO) satellites to LEO is a game-changer for ships. Powered by a constellation of thousands of satellites orbiting closer to Earth, Amazon Leo offers lower latency and higher transmission capacity.
