PepsiCo and ID Logistics have officially opened a next-generation logistics platform in Dourges, located within the Delta 3 multimodal hub. Operational since October 2025, the facility now serves as PepsiCo France’s primary logistics center for savory snacks, including Lay’s, Doritos, Cheetos, and Benenuts, replacing the historic Libercourt site.

The platform is massive in scale and capability:

  • Size: 56,000 sq m (part of the wider 136,000 sq m Delta 3 site).
  • Capacity: Storage for up to 52,000 pallets.
  • Infrastructure: Features 55 loading docks designed to improve flexibility and customisation for customers.

ID Logistics operates the site using advanced digital systems to ensure speed and traceability:

  • Automated Docks: Handle approximately 70% of inbound flows.
  • Inventory Robotics: The ASTRID autonomous robot scans up to 5,000 pallets per hour, performing continuous stock checks without disrupting operations.
  • Internal Transport: Managed by autonomous vehicles with real-time tracking tools.

The hub is a cornerstone of PepsiCo’s decarbonization strategy, targeting BREEAM Excellent certification.

  • Solar Power: Hosts Europe’s largest single-roof solar installation (128,000 sq m of panels).
  • Transport: The multimodal location supports road, rail, and inland waterways. Five electric trucks and fast-charging stations are currently in operation.
  • Carbon Savings: Low-carbon transport flows now account for nearly 70% of PepsiCo’s French operations, saving 14,254 tonnes of CO₂ in 2025.

Laurent Kamiel, Supply Chain Transformation Director at PepsiCo Western Europe, described the site as a “strategic tool to support brand growth and accelerate supply chain decarbonisation.”

All employees from the former Libercourt site have transferred to Dourges, preserving jobs and strengthening economic activity in the Hauts-de-France region.
