ZIM has announced significant changes to its Levant Black Sea Express (LBX) service. The carrier is actively adjusting both the frequency and port rotation of this regional route to better match current market demand.

The LBX service will now operate on a reduced, fortnightly schedule. As part of this network overhaul, ZIM has removed the port of Piraeus from the rotation and replaced it with a direct call at the port of Varna, Bulgaria.

The updated LBX route will be operated by a single vessel with a nominal capacity of 1,100 TEU.

The revised port rotation is:

  • Ashdod, Israel
  • Haifa, Israel
  • Constanta, Romania
  • Varna, Bulgaria
  • Ashdod, Israel

This streamlined loop offers a focused connection between key East Mediterranean and Black Sea markets for regional shippers.
