CNC has officially upgraded its JP8 service to improve regional connectivity between Japan, South China and the Philippines.

The enhanced routing offers shippers faster transit times and more reliable ocean freight solutions across a critical Asian trade corridor.

The updated routing links key Japanese ports like Sendai, Omaezaki and Moji directly with Batangas and Manila. For EXIM shippers, this provides one of the few direct capacity options currently available in the market for this specific trade lane.

The revamped JP8 service also significantly improves routing flexibility for freight moving out of South China.

  • New Port Calls: CNC has added stops at Shekou and Nansha, giving shippers more options to hit tight sailing schedules and manage cargo flows efficiently.
  • Expanded Coverage: Enhanced coverage in Shantou opens up new opportunities for cargo moving through South China transshipment hubs, securing better access to global markets.

Additionally, the service strengthens existing links between Japan and South China by utilizing connections to Xiamen and Shantou, fully supporting both dry and reefer cargo movements.

Operated entirely by CNC, the JP8 service offers dedicated vessel capacity and full operational control. This direct management structure helps ensure schedule reliability and consistent service performance across the entire network.

The enhanced service officially went into effect with the voyage Avios 0P816N1NC, which arrived in Manila on March 11, 2026. The fully updated JP8 port rotation is as follows:

  • Sendai
  • Tokyo
  • Omaezaki
  • Moji
  • Xiamen
  • Shantou
  • Shekou
  • Nansha
