Container carriers are reshaping their coverage of Myanmar, introducing new rotations and adjusting vessel deployment across Southeast Asia. According to DynaLiners, these changes involve strategic shifts from CNC Line (CMA CGM), Cosco Shipping Lines (CoscoSL), and Regional Container Lines (RCL).

CMA CGM’s intra-Asia specialist, CNC Line, is merging three existing services IDLW, YCX, and YSX into a single, newly branded loop named BY8. This consolidated service connects key ports in Singapore, Myanmar, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

  • Rotation: Singapore – Yangon – Singapore – Port Kelang – Belawan – Singapore.

Following CNC Line’s withdrawal from the previous cooperation, partners CoscoSL and RCL are revising their joint offerings to compensate for the removed tonnage.

  • SYM1 / RSY Service (Joint): The Port Kelang–Yangon leg has been removed. The service will now operate with two 1,200 TEU vessels on a 10-day frequency.
  • Revised Rotation: Singapore – Yangon – Singapore.

To maintain connectivity between Malaysia and Myanmar, CoscoSL is adjusting its standalone SYM3 service.

  • SYM3 Service: This loop will now deploy two 1,000 TEU vessels on a weekly frequency.
  • Revised Rotation: Singapore – Port Kelang – Yangon – Belawan – Singapore.

These updates reflect ongoing optimization in regional feeder networks as carriers balance capacity and frequency for the Myanmar market.
