Ocean Network Express Pte. Ltd. (ONE) has announced a major leadership transition. Till Ole Barrelet will officially succeed founding CEO Jeremy Nixon on July 1, 2026. To ensure a smooth handover, Barrelet will initially join the company as CEO-designate on May 1, 2026.

Following the transition, Nixon will step into a Senior Advisor role. Since taking the helm in April 2018, Nixon and his team successfully executed the complex merger of three legacy Japanese carriers K Line, MOL, and NYK into a single, unified global container shipping company.
Under his leadership, ONE has grown to operate a massive fleet of over 260 vessels with a total capacity exceeding 2 million TEU.
“Leading ONE from Day One has been the defining chapter of my career,” Nixon stated, expressing full confidence in Barrelet’s ability to guide the carrier forward.
Till Ole Barrelet brings over 20 years of maritime and logistics experience to the position. Most recently serving as CEO of Emirates Shipping Line (ESL), his extensive background spans ship owning, financing, and container shipping across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
“ONE is well positioned to navigate industry headwinds with an increasingly modern fleet, financial strength, and proven capabilities,” Barrelet noted, emphasizing his commitment to driving the company’s “ONE2030” strategic growth priorities.
ONE is also overhauling its Executive Management Team. Moving forward, the CEO will be backed by a newly expanded team consisting of seven divisional representatives and six regional leaders. This structure is designed to improve cross-functional collaboration and operational efficiency across the carrier’s global network.
