Ocean Network Express (ONE) is expanding its European network with the launch of the Iberia Baltic Express (IBX). Set to commence operations in May 2026, this new weekly container service establishes a direct link between Portugal and the Baltic region, offers improved schedule reliability and extended port coverage.

The IBX Port Rotation

The IBX is designed to streamline cargo flows across major European container hubs while strengthening links to regional terminals. The full weekly rotation will operate as follows:

  • Leixoes, Portugal

  • Lisbon, Portugal

  • Southampton, UK

  • Rotterdam, Netherlands

  • Gdansk, Poland

  • Riga, Latvia

  • Klaipeda, Lithuania

  • Gdynia, Poland

  • Bremerhaven, Germany

  • Return via Rotterdam to Leixões

The addition of the IBX significantly expands ONE’s port network in Northern Europe. By providing a direct connection between the Iberian Peninsula and the Baltic Sea, the service gives shippers more straightforward routing options between key gateway terminals.

This direct approach reduces reliance on transhipment, allowing for more efficient cargo movement through primary hubs like Rotterdam and Bremerhaven while directly servicing critical Baltic terminals like Gdańsk and Klaipėda. According to ONE, the new route is a strategic move to enhance overall service consistency and network coverage across its European operations.
