Sallaum Lines has officially taken delivery of two new LNG dual-fuel Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs), marking a major expansion of its Ocean Class fleet.

Both next-generation vessels are designed to meet strict international environmental standards while maximizing operational efficiency across global trade lanes.

  • MV Ocean Explorer: Built by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding Ltd., this vessel measures 199.90 meters long and 38 meters wide. It accommodates up to 7,500 car equivalent units (CEU) across 13 decks and features an LNG fuel system with a 3,536.21-cubic-meter capacity.
  • MV Ocean Legacy: Constructed at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in Nanjing, this ship is 199.90 meters long and 37.7 meters wide. It carries 7,400 CEUs across 13 decks and utilizes LNG storage capacity between 36 and 37.8 tons for extended endurance.

These new deliveries incorporate advanced LNG dual-fuel propulsion systems. Compared to conventional fuel oil, this technology significantly reduces emissions of CO₂, NOx, SOx, and particulate matter, ensuring compliance with current and forthcoming maritime environmental regulations.

“These vessels reflect our ongoing investment in cleaner technologies and our dedication to providing reliable, efficient, and environmentally responsible shipping solutions to our global partners,” said Sami Sallaum, Chairman of Sallaum Lines.

This steady expansion, which included the early delivery of the MV Ocean Breeze in July 2025, reinforces Sallaum Lines’ position as a forward-looking leader in the sustainability-driven RoRo market.
