DP World has signed a five-year contract with Suzano, a leading global pulp and paper producer, to manage its warehouse and production line supply operations in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Espírito Santo.

The agreement became operational in February and significantly expands DP World’s inland contract logistics footprint in Brazil.

Embedded directly within Suzano’s Consumer and Tissue division manufacturing plant, the roughly 5,000-square-meter facility handles a high volume of daily cargo. DP World’s operational scope covers inbound receiving, inventory management, production line replenishment, and the outbound distribution of finished tissue products.

  • Inbound Capacity: Up to 152 tonnes per day
  • Outbound Distribution: 128 tonnes per day
  • Daily Production Supported: Approximately 19,000 bales

Finished goods from this facility are distributed across major consumer markets, including Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Brazil’s Central-West region.

This inland agreement extends a long-standing commercial relationship between the two companies. At the Port of Santos, DP World already manages Brazil’s largest pulp export warehouse for Suzano, which boasts an annual handling capacity of up to five million tonnes.

Fabio Siccherino, CEO of DP World in Brazil, noted the deal demonstrates the company’s ability to tightly integrate port operations, warehousing, and inland distribution. Nilton Sampaio, Suzano’s Executive Supply Chain Manager, added that the arrangement builds a more agile logistics chain.
