GTT announced in the first quarter of 2026 that it has received a new order from the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard. The contract covers the specialized tank design for a single, new Liquefied Natural Gas Carrier (LNGC) commissioned by an unnamed European shipowner.
Under the agreement, GTT will design the vessel’s cryogenic tanks to provide a total carrying capacity of 180,000 cubic meters (m³). To ensure optimal thermal performance during transit, the tanks will be fitted with GTT’s proprietary Mark III Flex membrane containment system.
Delivery of the new LNG carrier to the European owner is expected in 2028.
