Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) and Fincantieri have announced an agreement to add three new vessels to the group’s cruise ship orderbook. This strategic move extends the company’s delivery pipeline through 2037, locking in valuable shipyard slots amidst tightening global capacity.

The agreement adds one sister ship to the existing orderbooks of each of NCLH’s three major brands:
- Norwegian Cruise Line
- Regent Seven Seas Cruises
- Oceania Cruises
While a specific contract price was not disclosed, Fincantieri categorized the deal as “very important,” indicating an aggregate value exceeding €2 billion. This brings NCLH’s total pipeline to 17 new ships, building on the 14 previously ordered from the Italian shipbuilder.
“This agreement secures access to valuable shipyard capacity through the end of 2037, supporting our long-term growth while maintaining financial discipline,” said John Chidsey, recently appointed President and CEO of NCLH.
