Evergreen Suspends Cargo Bookings for UAE, Bahrain, and Middle East Ports

Due to the rapidly evolving security situation in the region, Evergreen Marine Corporation has officially suspended the acceptance of new cargo bookings for several key Middle East ports.

The booking suspension is effective immediately and applies to all shipments moving both to and from the following locations:

  • United Arab Emirates (UAE)
  • Bahrain
  • Kuwait
  • Qatar
  • Iraq (specifically through the port of Umm Qasr)
  • Saudi Arabia (with the exception of Jeddah, which remains open)

Evergreen stated that this drastic measure is strictly necessary to safeguard its crews, vessels, and customers’ cargo during the ongoing regional volatility.

For shippers who already have cargo in transit or confirmed bookings, Evergreen’s local offices will be reaching out directly. The carrier is actively working with affected customers to arrange alternative logistics, routing, and handling options to mitigate further supply chain disruptions.
