PepsiCo India recently rolled out three interconnected initiatives designed to cut emissions across linehaul freight, urban distribution, and last mile delivery.

The Kosi to Pataudi EV Green Corridor :
Dedicated EV Green Corridor operating on the Kosi to Pataudi route. Developed in partnership with Kalyani Powertrain Limited, this linehaul corridor utilizes eight 32 foot single axle re powered electric container trucks. Operating this dedicated electric fleet will enable approximately 4.8 lakh electric kilometers annually along the route.

PepsiCo is actively tightening its urban logistics footprint. To tackle last mile delivery emissions, the company has converted more than 400 distributor linked vehicles to electric three and four wheelers across its markets.

Additionally, within the National Capital Region (NCR), PepsiCo and its logistics partners have deployed over 80 CNG vehicles to lower the environmental impact of inner city distribution.

Jagrut Kotecha, CEO of PepsiCo India and South Asia, emphasized that this transition relies heavily on ecosystem collaboration. By partnering with OEMs, logistics providers like Vayudoot Road Carriers and New Trishul Transport Services, and infrastructure developers, PepsiCo is addressing the operational realities of electric freight.

The Kosi to Pataudi route serves as a highly scalable model, proving that electric linehaul freight is operationally and commercially viable for the broader Indian logistics sector.
