BLR Airport Partners with Menzies Aviation for Operations Deal

Bangalore International Airport (BIAL) has secured a major partner for its ground operations, signing a 15-year license agreement with Menzies Aviation.

Under this new long-term deal, Menzies Aviation will take over a wide range of duties at Kempegowda International Airport (BLR).The agreement covers the full “end-to-end” experience, including:

  • Passenger Services: Check-in and gate management.
  • Ramp Handling: Aircraft turnaround and marshaling.
  • Baggage Operations: Ensuring luggage gets where it needs to go.

A contract of this length signals a push for stability. BIAL stated that the goal is to align with the airport’s long-term growth plans. By locking in a partner for a decade and a half, they aim to standardize service levels and improve safety across the board. For airline partners, this consistency usually translates to smoother turnarounds and fewer operational headaches on the ground.
