UK C-130J deal with Turkey as £550m export deal

Britain has highlighted the Turkey C-130J programme as part of its record defence export performance, presenting a £550m figure contract value.

The UK Government has included the Turkey C-130J Hercules programme among the flagship examples underpinning its claim of record British defence exports. The government says that the £550 million amount covers work on 12 C-130J aircraft and is portrayed as supporting around 1,400 skilled jobs, primarily through activity carried out by Marshall Aerospace in Cambridge.
