ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. has officially announced that Eli Glickman, its President and Chief Executive Officer, will be stepping down. Glickman recently informed the company’s Board of Directors of his decision to leave the ocean carrier after a nine year tenure.

A Six Month Leadership Transition To ensure strict operational continuity for the shipping line and its global customers, Glickman will remain in his post for a six month notice period. During this transition, he will continue to serve as CEO, facilitating an orderly handover while the Board launches a formal search process for his successor in the coming weeks.
Reflecting on a Nine Year Turnaround In his official statement, Glickman reflected on what he described as a period of astounding turnaround for ZIM, directly crediting the organization’s employees for the massive transformation.

“When I joined ZIM nine years ago, I did so after deep deliberation, but with absolute clarity of purpose,” Glickman stated. “I believed in this company, I believed in its people, and I believed that with the right strategy, discipline, and courage, we could transform ZIM into a stronger, more innovative, and more resilient global player. Together, we did exactly that.”
