MSC Adds Port Chalmers to Australia-NZ Wallaby Service Rotation

MSC will add Port Chalmers to the port rotation of its Australia–New Zealand Wallaby service, expanding coverage on the regional loop.

The updated service will be operated with nine vessels of around 4,000 TEU capacity and will include Port Chalmers as a regular call.

Under the revised rotation, the Wallaby service will cover Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Bluff, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, Napier, Wellington, Melbourne, Brisbane, Hong Kong, Shenzhen (Yantian), Xiamen, Shanghai, Ningbo, before returning to Sydney.

The addition of Port Chalmers is expected to enhance connectivity for New Zealand cargo within MSC’s Australia–New Zealand service network.
