MSC is set to launch its new Australia/New Zealand–US East Coast “Eagle” service next week. This move significantly expands their transpacific and inter-regional network.

First announced in July 2025, MSC will operate the service using eleven vessels ranging from 2,500 to 4,500 TEU. In a key change from earlier plans, the team has added Wellington to the port rotation.
Under the full rotation, the Eagle service will cover Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Wellington, Tauranga, Balboa, Colon (Cristobal), Philadelphia, Savannah, Freeport, Balboa, Papeete, Auckland, before returning to Sydney.
This new loop strengthens MSC’s connectivity between Australia, New Zealand, and the US East Coast, giving shippers more flexibility across this vital trade lane.
