Bad Weather Hits the Schedule: Maersk Adjusts South America Loops
Maersk has confirmed blank sailings on its NEOBOSSANOVA and NEOSAMBA services, which connect East Coast South America with Europe. Due to severe and continuing weather conditions across South-Western and Western Europe are disrupting port operations.

To stop the delays from cascading, Maersk is “sliding” these services essentially to restore reliability.
1. NEOBOSSANOVA Service The delays have forced a slide at Itapoa.
- Vessel Affected: CMA CGM Rodolphe (608N)
- New Plan: The estimated departure from Itapoa is now February 17, 2026 (Voyage 608N). The return leg from Tangier Med is scheduled for March 9, 2026 (Voyage 611S).
2. NEOSAMBA Service Similar weather restrictions have slowed transits here, forcing a slide at Buenos Aires.
- Vessel Affected: Maersk Laguna (607N)
- New Plan: The estimated departure from Buenos Aires is February 14, 2026 (Voyage 607N). The return leg from Southampton is set for March 13, 2026 (Voyage 611S).
