Investment framework agreement has officially been signed establishing a joint ownership structure between the MSC Group and South Korean shipping operator Sinokor Maritime.

Under the terms of the new agreement, SAS Shipping Agencies Services Sarl (SAS Lux), a subsidiary of the MSC Group, will acquire a 50 percent stake in Sinokor Maritime.

This transaction grants SAS Lux joint control of the company alongside its current sole shareholder, Ga Hyun Chung, who will retain the remaining 50 percent of the shares.

The proposed transaction was formally notified to the relevant competition authority on February 25, 2026.

Both parties bring distinct operational strengths and market reach to the newly established joint control structure:

  • MSC Group (SAS Lux): Operates globally across the transport and logistics sector, providing extensive ocean freight services and comprehensive supply chain solutions.
  • Ga Hyun Chung: Controls multiple businesses active in bulk cargo transportation and shipping operations. This includes chartering bulk carriers and tankers, with a specific focus on the maritime transport of liquid cargo.

This can significantly strengthen collaboration between the two parties and support the continued development of Sinokor Maritime within the highly competitive global shipping market.
